John voted for a year-long moratorium on new data center development, giving the County time to establish safeguards before additional projects move forward.

John Hawk’s connection to Imperial County comes from a lifetime of hard work and dedication. For 48 years, he has built and operated businesses, beginning as a young man irrigating, hoeing, driving tractors, and working in the fields.
Those experiences shaped his understanding of hard work, responsibility, and the challenges faced by local families and business owners.
For John, serving District 5 means showing up, staying connected, and supporting the people and organizations that strengthen our communities.
